  1. the difference between volume and compasity is that volume is how much space the whole figure takes up, and compasity is how much the figure can hold, or contain.
    it easy to do the consersion, simply take 80,000 and take away the last three zeros because they represent the 1000. why do that? becuase 1000mL=1L. or you can divide that gives you same anwser, or you can move the decimal place 3 places to the left. 3 decimal places because 3 stands for 3 zeros in 1000. and by doing all the methods i clearly get the same answer. answer is 80L.for meters it is its the same they both convert by 1000, so by doing my same methods it would also be 80M cubed.

  2. Capacity is usually how much liquid something can hold, and volume is usually referred to how much space is in an object. Capacity is usually measured in units like ml, l and dl. Volume is usually measured in m square, cm square and km square.
    80,000 cm cubed is 800 m cubed and 80 l. It is 800 m cubed because 80,000 divided by 100, which is the number of cm in a meter equals 800. 1 l is 1000 cm cubed, so 80,000 divided by 100 equals 80.

  3. Volume is how much space something takes up while capacity is how much something can hold.

    To change 80,000 centimeters cubed to meters cubed you divide 80, 000 cm cubed by 100, 000. 80, 000 cm cubed divided by 100, 000 = 0.08 meters cubed. I did this by saying 100cm goes into 1m so you move the decimal point two spots to the left. But because it is cubic cm you multiply that by 3, 3 times 2=6 so you move it six spots. So you move it 5 spots to get 0.8 cm cubed and then add a zero for 6. That makes 0.08m cubed the final answer.

    You divide it by 100,000 because 100,000 is six digits, equivalent to moving the decimal 6 spots.

    I used a similar method to change it into litres. I know 1cm cubed = one ml. One litre is 1000 ml so one ml is 0.001 L. So 80,000 cm cubed divided by 1000 ( because of how many Millilitres are in a litre.)=80L.

    That makes the answer 80 litres.

  4. 300 mL of water.
    Volume is the amount of 'space' that is taken up (whether or not there is something in it or it is solid), expressed in cubic cm (or m or km).
    Moving on to the conversions, 100 cm = 1 m so 80,000 cm (cubed) converted into meters, would be 800 meters cubed. Liters is similar to cm cubed, making it the same number as meters 80. i know this because 1 cubic centimeter = 0.001 liter.

  5. The difference between volume and capacity is that capacity is how much the container can hold(how much is in it when it is full) Volume is how much is in the container. 80,000 cm3 is 0.08m3. How I converted cm3 to m3 is divide it by 1,000,000. I did it because there is 1,000,000cm3 in 1m3. the way I found out how many cm3 there is in a m3 is I did 100cm(how many there are in a m) times 100 times 100. I did because of the exponent on top of cm3. 100x100x100=1,000,000. So I did 80,000cm3 divided by 1,000,000which equaled 0.08m3.

  6. The difference between volume and capacity is this: Capactiy is how much can fit into something. For example if you have a pot that can fit 2 cups of rice then it can also fit 500ml of water. Those are two different units of the capacity though. Volume is the amount of space taken up by an object. The unit for this would be __3 (some number cubed)

    How can you change 80,000 cm cubed into meters cubed and litre? here's how: First into litres: 1 cubic centimeter is equal to 0.001 litres. So you use that information to convert 80,000 centimeters into 80 litres! Then into meters cubed: For this question you would do the number in centimeters (80,000) divided by 1,000,000 and you will get your answer in meters cubed the answer is 0.08m3!!!!!!-Emily

  7. capacity is how "much" something can fit into another something, and volume is the amount of "space" that is taken up.

    i think its this:
    4 sides, so instead you'd put 400 m3 instead of just 100 m,(4x100) then multiply 80,000 m3 by 400 m3
    which equals 32,000,000 m3 or 32,000,000 L3

  8. so for the first part i think the difference between capacity and volume is that volume is the space that is taken up in the figure while capacity is how much you can fit usually in liquids or ML. and to convert 80,000cm3 into meters3 is 0.8 m3 and into litres is 0.08 because 100cm is equal to 1m cubed and 1000cm is equal to 1 litre so i just took both and first got 0.8 and new since it a litre is more i put 0.08:)

  9. I know that one cm cubed is equal to one mL. There are 1000 mL in a liter. So, 80,000 cm cubed is equal to 80 liters. I know that one meter cubed is equal to 1,000 liters. So, 80,000 cm cubed is equal to 0.08 meters cubed.

    The difference between volume and capacity is that volume is how much space the three-dimensional object takes up. It is measured in cubic meters. Capacity is how much the object can store/hold. It is often measured to hold liquids and the unit of measurement is liters.

  10. Volume= amount of space that the soild occupies
    Capacity= the amount of liquid the soild could hold
    1m=100cm so i divied 80000cm3 by 100
    100 divied by 80000=800
    80000cm3=800m3
    1cm=10mm so i would do 80000 times 10= 800000
    80000cm3=80000mm thanks Ms.D and Mr.Chamole thus was fun!

  11. OK lets see....
    so first i did the liters, and it would be 80 liters because you divide 80,000 by 1000, and you get 80 liters.
    So for the meters cubed first i found out how many cm cubed was 1 ml. and the ratio is 1:1. After that i found out how many cm cubed there are in 1 meter cubed. I got 1,000,000 because 100x100x100= 1,000,000. SO now we had 80,000/ (over)1,000,000. Then i crossed off the 0000's, and was left with 8/100 (again / means over). 8/100 is the same as 0.08. Now all you have to do is add on the units which would be 0.08m cubed.
    So my final answer is 80 liters and 0.08 m cubed.

  12. Capacity is how much something holds, ie. 10 cup jar.
    Volume would be the amount in the jar, ie. 8 cups of rice in the ten cup jar.

    80 000 cm3=? m3
    100 cm3=1 m3 80 000 cm3 divided by 100 cm3=800 m3

    80 000 cm3=? L3
    1000 cm3=1 L3 80 000 cm3 divided by 1000 cm3=80 L3

  13. Volume measures the space that a 3D object occupies. Capacity measures how much a 3D object can hold. For example on bottles of water you see how much capacity it holds,in mL. The size of a room is measured by it's length, width and height which is volume displayed in m cubed or cm cubed.
    The relationships between cubic cm, mL, L and cubic m are:
    1 cm cubed = 1 mL,
    1 m cubed = 1000 L,
    1000 cm cubed = 1 L.
    Therefore to change 80,000 cm cubed into metres cubed is: 80,000 cm cubed = 80,000 mL = 80 L = 0.08 m cubed. To change 80,000 cm cubed into L is: 80,000 divided by 1000 = 80 L.

  14. The difference between volume and capacity is this: Capacity is how much can fit into an object. For example the capacity of something could be 1 cup of food or 250 ml of liquid. Volume on the other hand is the amount of space taken up by an object. Also volume is measured in cubic units. How do you change 80,000 cm³ into meters cubed and litres? Well one cubic cm is equal to 0.001 litres. So the equation would be 0.001 x 80,000. The answer to the question is 80 litres in case you wanted to know. How do you change it into meters cubed? You divide 80,000 into 100,000. So the answer is 0,08 meters cubed.

  15. So 80,000 cm3 /(divided by again)100=800 so we have 800 m3.For liters you first change the 80,000 cm3 into 80,000mL then 80,000mL/1000=80L so 80,000cm3 is 800m3 or 80L

  16. Well, there are 1,000,000 cm3 in 1 m3 and 1,000L in 1 m3. There are 80,000 cm3 I want to convert, so 1,000,000÷80,000=0.08. So, there are 0.08 m3. But to get to litres, I multiply 0.08×1,000. That's 80L. Capacity is the volume of a fluid, but volume is that of a solid.

  17. My first answer to question 2: Volume refers to the space taken up by an object
    itself, while capacity refers to the amount of a liquid or other
    pourable substance a container can hold.
